I DID IT!! ive been threatening for years to knit socks…I finally did it! I have no shame in admitting my knitting skills are minimal but socks are the prefect way to learn so many techniques. When I started I did think id made a mistake, but i watched the videos Rachel has recorded over and over, restarted so many times, but in the end I just went for it and im thrilled with what Ive made! Rachel was more than happy to answer my MANY questions she’s such a great teacher and now I’m hooked on socks!! Such a great sense of achievement im glad I started with this yarn as its a little thicker so knits up quicker which helps me as Im a crochet lady, so Im used to my projects working up much faster, this was also a skill I learned at Sittinf Knitting with Rachel on the knit and natter nights way back in the first year the shop opened!
This is a great kit, the colours are gorgeous, I will be without a doubt buying more as there is no way I can ever not knit socks now!
My first one is not.perfect. but I did it, and my next one will be better!!

This pattern is so easy to follow and much quicker project than 4ply sock yarn. You end up with a slightly thicker sock which is great for boots or wellies. I love the bag it comes with and always carry it with me with a sock project in.
